Your first visit to the orthodontist will be a great time to get to know Dr. Chamberlain and his friendly staff. The treatment coordinator will meet with you in the exam room where Dr. Chamberlain will complete a thorough diagnosis and discuss your treatment options. We will make sure that all of your questions are answered at this visit. If the timing is right, then you will have an opportunity to start treatment by having diagnostic records taken at this appointment as well. Records typically include study models of the teeth, photos of the face and teeth, radiographs (x-rays) and completing the financial paperwork with the treatment coordinator. This information, combined with the Dr. Chamberlain's exam, is used to develop a custom treatment plan. After your records appointment is completed the next step is getting the braces on!
Dr. Chamberlain uses state-of-the-art technology. After your first appointment, we utilize a computer-generated cephalometric analysis system to accurately diagnose and project your skeletal and dental development.
Technology isn't our only strong point. We create a fun atmosphere with our smoothie machine, Playstation 2 and everyone loves to earn "Chamberlain Bucks," which can be traded in for great prizes and gift certificates.
Regular appointments
The appointment when you get your braces or appliances usually takes one to two hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals every 6-8 weeks for adjustments, which takes 20-40 minutes.
